About the Role:
Charm City Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated School-Based Speech Language Therapist to join our growing team in Lanham, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and overall academic success in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students' speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and parent conferences
- Monitor and report student progress toward speech and language goals
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
- Maryland state licensure or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
- Experience working with school-age children in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, IDEA regulations, and special education processes
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
